The 'Pearl R Pro' from Molecule-R brand, promises to streamline the process that allows home chefs to turn their food into small edible pearls.

"Spherification simply put is the culinary process of shaping a liquid into spheres which visually and texturally resemble caviar or pearls," the company explains on its website. "You can produce pearls and caviar with a liquid center by using a reverse technic called Reverse Spherification."
This PearlR Pro is compatible with both fresh and store bought foods and its creator says it can be used to combine nearly any combination of raw or pre-made ingredients. As shown on the picture below, mochi topped with edible caviar made from strawberries!

You'll also need seaweed extract (Alginate) for the base mixture, along with calcium chloride powder, both of which come along with the gadget.

As the company's points out, so-called "spherification" is nothing new to those familiar with molecular gastronomy. But until now the process has only worked with syringes or pipettes, which made it much more more complicated and time-intensive, particularly for home chefs without access to professional equipment.
